About us

Guitar Club is the feeder organization, along with IB Music, for the Sturgis Jammers. It is named guitar club but truly it is a learning space for Vocals, Guitar, Bass, Drums, and generally learning how to play contemporary music with others at Sturgis.

Who should join? Students in grades 9-12 are invited to participate in this club. No prior experience or equipment is necessary - an interest is all you need to bring.

What does the group do? Upperclassmen leadership host lessons and information sessions. Some days are informal hands off days during which the room is open for any kind of learning. In some cases, the group has played at concerts or informal school gatherings. Alumni also occasionally visit and instruct.

When does the group meet? Club meetings are Mondays during lunch in the music room (11:40-12:25). If you would like to join, either show up on Monday, or join the Google Classroom and post a message on the wall.
