Sturgis Singers
About us
Sturgis Singers is the Sturgis East singing chorale.
Who should join? Students in grades 9-12 are invited to participate in this extracurricular group. Because this ensemble includes students at all grade levels, the repertoire for this group can be more challenging. It is recommended that the student interested in joining this group either has previous choral music experience, can read sheet music, or is very dedicated to music making!
What does the group sing? A mix of pop, traditional, seasonal, and world music selections are common in this group. Music is usually accompanied in some manner. Music is typically in four part harmony, SATB.
When does the group meet?
Rehearsals will take place from 3:30-5:15 at the East campus after school on Tuesdays. In addition, a lunch sectional is held on Fridays from 11:45-12:20.
Who do I contact if I'd like to join?
You can email the director, Mrs. Natalie Sheeler, the music teacher and choral director at Sturgis East. nsheeler@sturgischarterschool.org.
